Services

ACHA adds value to the current mechanisms for cooperation among African civil society organisations (CSOs) by furthering dialogue and engagement to address challenges specific to indigenous organisations.  Furthermore, it helps create an enabling environment for African CSOs by promoting and enhancing their strengths. Thus it aims to highlight their capacity to deliver assistance and services, be it nationally, regionally, or across the continent. This not only increases the resource capacity of African CSOs, but also raises their international reputation in the long term.

ACHA supports the strengthening of African CSO operational and organisational capacity.  As such, ACHA enables these organisations to enhance their participation in the humanitarian community and increases the effectiveness of their services to vulnerable communities. It coordinates their actions for a more effective collaborative voice, serves as a resource centre for the sharing and dissemination of relevant information, conducts research and development for their benefit, and addresses their institutional capacity needs.  In this way, ACHA contributes to the growing momentum of an African renaissance.
